Dutchess had a very rude encounter with a raccoon trap and decided afterward that four legs were simply overrated. Due to the severity of her injury, her front leg had to be amputated—but don’t tell her that she’s missing anything. She’s fully embraced the tripod lifestyle and is absolutely thriving.

This resilient little lady can still hop around like a pro, launch herself onto a cat tree, and go about her day as if nothing ever happened. Honestly, she might even be faster now… just don’t fact-check that.

Dutchess doesn’t mind other cats, though she can be a bit shy at first—she prefers to observe the room, judge everyone quietly, and then decide if you’re worthy of her presence. Once she’s comfortable, she’s just a normal cat with a slightly cooler backstory.

Because she can’t run away as fast or defend herself like a four-legged cat, we’re looking for a dog-free home where she can feel safe, secure, and properly spoiled like the royalty she is.
